Use & Care of Pine Wood Furniture
Help It Last For Generations
Our rustic furniture is built by craftsmen using solid pine wood and hand-crafted iron. Each piece is made by hand to create a one-of-a-kind antiqued look that will blend with any home decor. The entire piece is given a three-step wax treatment that creates a beautiful antiqued finish.
Variations in the color and character of the wood should be expected, and are considered inherent characteristics of rustic pine furniture.
Recommended Treatments
Frequently, pine may develop splits due to natural contraction and expansion of the wood. This is normal, and contributes to each piece being truly unique. Due to a number of factors, especially central heating and air, Mexican Pine furniture is at risk of drying out which can cause larger than normal splits and cracks in the wood. To prevent this, regular treatment which a quality lemon or orange furniture oil is highly recommended. This will protect your piece as well as help maintain its natural lustre and beauty.
Ring-shaped stains from glasses and cups may develop on rustic furniture if these items are left directly on the wood without coasters. We highly recommend the use of coasters for all drinks, vases and other containers which may produce moisture on the wood. Spills and water rings from condensation should be cleaned promptly, as rustic pine furniture can absorb water and other liquids rapidly.
With gentle care and regular treatment, your beautiful pine furniture will maintain its inherent beauty and serve you and your family for years to come. If you have any questions or would like additional guidance on care of your furniture, please feel free to reach out to us.
